2021 SunSmart WA Nipper Championships – Yanchep Goes for Gold!
Following the disappointment of last year’s last-minute event cancellation, this weekend saw nearly 900 eager Nippers from 22 WA clubs hit Scarborough Beach to contest the 2021 SunSmart WA Nipper Surf Life Saving Championship!
Events kicked off under the lights of the Scarborough Beach amphitheater on Friday evening where our athletes took on the beach flags and sprints.
Representing Yanchep, Zane Jessamine and Kaeden McQuoid gave it everything they had, showing great sportsmanship, team spirit, and a can-do attitude! Both athletes made us extremely proud, persevering to do their very best for their club!
A big thank you to Abigail Campbell, placed as a reserve and unfortunately not competing, but there to support her friends as always!
We are beyond proud to announce that Zane Jessamine won his final bringing home a gold medal which he proudly showed us all on Sunday at Nippers! Zane, you are a champion of champions, your humble, strong character makes you the ultimate sprinter in our eyes! Congratulations!!
