Woodside Nippers
Woodside Nippers is a surf awareness program that is offered for children from the ages of 5-13.
Woodside Nippers will learn about Surf Safety and Awareness in a fun activity-based program. Whilst helping build confidence, and learning valuable life skills and knowledge in a safe beach environment.
2023/24 Woodside Nipper Information Guide
Woodside Nippers must be 5 by the 30 September, this is a requirement of SLSWA.
The Season commences Sunday 22nd October 2023 and runs until 31st March 2024. We do break for Christmas, please refer to the Important Dates to Remember.
All groups* are to meet at the Surf Club: 8:30am for a 9:00 am start. *U7’s start at 10.00am
Assemble near the wall at the front of the Surf Club, your Age Manager will be wearing your colour cap.
Have sunscreen on!
The Age Group Managers will call the roll and mark attendance.
Prepare for a morning of education, beach games, water activities, and fun!
No Woodside Nipper is to enter the water unless authorised by the Age Manager.
At the end of the session, all Woodside Nippers are to walk back to the club with their Age Manager, once you are checked off the attendance, you will be released you to your parents/guardians.
The club offers a Sausage Sizzle on Sunday morning after the session. Funds raised go back to the club.
To all our returning Nippers and new Woodside Nipper members, welcome to the Woodside Nippers program at Yanchep Surf Life Saving Club; we are excited for a fun filled season ahead.
All Woodside Nippers are required to undertake a proficiency swim, please refer to the Nippers Information Guide for further information.

Woodside Nippers have the opportunity to join our Competition Squad and participate in competitive events throughout the season.
