Member Protection

Our Club is committed to the wellbeing and protection of our members. We aim to provide a safe environment for all our members to deliver and enjoy our many and varied volunteer activities.

Our club Member Protection Information Officer (MPIO) is responsible for providing information about a person’s rights and responsibilities when raising a concern or making a complaint.

For further information about the Member Protection Policy go to https://www.mybeach.com.au/members/member-protection/  or email our Member Protection Officer, Tor Dall mpioyanchepslsc@gmail.com

Working with Children Checks

Our members can feel safe knowing that we follow Surf Life Saving Western Australia’s Member Screening Policy. The policy outlines how we should screen members for Working with Children Checks (WWC Check).

According to the policy, any member over the age of 18 who is an Active Member or a Member who volunteers at the Club in any capacity and does not have a child, under18 registered as a member, is required to apply for a WWC Check.

The Parenting Exemption will apply to those Members who have a Child who is a Member within the same Affiliated Club. It must be noted that the Parenting Exemption does not apply to overnight camps where Children will be present and therefore WWC Checks must be conducted.

If you are unsure if you need a WWC Check please email our Member Protection Officer.
