Woodside Nippers is an engaging surf awareness program tailored for children aged 5-13.

Join us at Yanchep SLSC for an exciting and educational Surf Safety and Awareness program tailored for our Woodside Nippers. Held on Sunday mornings throughout the season, this fun and engaging outdoor activity is designed to boost confidence, impart valuable life skills, and teach essential lessons about beach safety.

Woodside Nippers participate in a range of activities such as running, swimming, laughing, and making new friends, all in a fun and safe environment. Through participation, children develop a sense of belonging and learn the importance of community, fostering personal growth and enjoyment of the beach environment.

Children must be 5 years old by 30th September as per SLSWA requirements.

Get ready for another fantastic Woodside Nippers season!

The 2026/27 Season runs from Sunday, 25th October 2026 through to Sunday, 21st March 2026, with a break over the Christmas holiday period.
Woodside Nipper groups meet at the Surf Club at 8:30am for a 9:00am start (U7’s start at 10:00am)

Before participating in water-based activities, all Woodside Nippers are required to complete a Surf Life Saving WA proficiency assessment appropriate for their age group.
This assessment ensures children can safely participate in the program and enjoy all aspects of the season.
