YANCHEP CADETS
At Yanchep Surf Life Saving Club, our Youth Program – Yanchep Cadets – is designed to enrich the lives of young members through fun, friendship, challenge and adventure.
In a safe and supportive beach environment, youth members build confidence while developing valuable lifesaving, leadership and competition skills that will stay with them for life.
We recognise that the teenage years are a time of significant social, emotional and physical growth, That’s why we’ve created a program that offers more that surf lifesaving. From beach to water activities to leadership opportunities, camps, competitions and social events, our youth members are encouraged to step outside their comfort zone, make lifelong friendships and become active members of our club and community.
Whether your goal is to patrol our beaches, compete in surf sports, gain nationally recognised qualifications, or simply have fun and be apart of an incredible team, Yanchep SLSC provides a welcoming environment where every young person can thrive.

Yanchep Cadets offers a safe, inclusive and supportive environment where young people can challenge themselves, stay active and have fun while developing valuable life skills.
Our program combines surf lifesaving, surf sports, leadership and social activities to create positive experiences for youth of all abilities and stages of development. With a strong focus on fun, learning and personal growth, cadets build confidence in the surf, develop practical lifesaving skills, and enjoy new challenges alongside their peers.
As cadets progress, they’ll have the opportunities to gain recognised surf lifesaving awards, participate in competition and camps, develop leadership skills, volunteer in patrol and create lifelong friendships as part of the Yanchep SLSC community.

Yanchep Cadets offer a gradual and seamless transition from Nippers to youth programs.
Yanchep Cadets increase the opportunity for new youth members who did not participate in Nippers to join and learn the skills required to become lifesavers.
Yanchep Cadets develop individuals holistically across the pillars of surf life saving being lifesaving; surf sports; and training.
