C A D E T • C A M P • 2 0 2 1
This weekend saw our Cadets head off to Woodman Point Recreation Camp, next to the idyllic waters of Coogee Beach, for their annual Cadet Camp.
A weekend filled with fun team-building activities and personal challenges and a great opportunity for them to further strengthen their camaraderie.
Saturday morning was “oarsome”! Everyone had a fantastic opportunity to have-a-go with our clubs Surf Boat; a massive shout out to @coogeebeachslsc who joined us with their Surf Boats; and to all those who organised and assisted with the morning!
After a tasty BBQ lunch, cooked by club President Billy, and family. The afternoon was spent jetty jumping, snorkeling the Omeo Wreck and enjoying Coogee Beach.
Sunday morning the Cadets faced team-building activities in the Cube and pushed their comfort zones on the zip-line.
Thank you to our Cadet Manager - Kym, Age Managers - Marlee & Shauna and Young Adult Mentors - Josh & Lee, whom all had just as much fun as the Cadets. 👍🏻

Don’t forget that tomorrow Nippers will return for the 2nd half of the season!
The Cadets will be running the barbecue tomorrow to fundraise for their upcoming camp and we will have some special treats available to purchase!
We will see you down at the club for a 9am start 🌊

Here’s a couple of photos from the Tri-club challenge yesterday morning hosted by @qmslsc with @alkimosslsc in attendance also. Such an enjoyable morning for all and we can’t wait to see events like this grow over the coming years especially with our northern corridor neighbours!
A huge thank you to all who came along to help out, our watersafety volunteers, age managers, youth officials, and photographer just to name a few... Without you all events like this would never happen!
For now though stay home, stay safe, and we will see you all back down the beach as soon as we can 🌊

SLSWA ROOKIE LIFEGUARD PROGRAM
Three of our Cadets - Joel, Jorja & Jayden - were fortunate enough to spend last week undertaking a range of activities related to employment as a Lifeguard and other Support Operation roles with SLSWA. A fantastic experience for all involved in the program.
Congratulations to Joel who was invited to participate in a further week-long program with SLSWA’s Lifesaving Services.
